How to cure cracked heels? Get the treatments and answers here plus tips on Feet Care


We all are so engrossed in making our face look pretty by doing various things for our face, like bleach, facial, face packs, face massage, etc., that we neglect the foot care. This is the reason behind getting cracked heels. This is also one sign of our body to indicate that the body is not getting enough water.

Cracked heels are really painful in case the cuts are deep into the dermis. In case of diabetic patients the cracked heels take longer time to heal. If proper care is taken then the problem of cracked feet will never happen. There are many home remedies for cracked heels , which will help to cure the cracked heels fast.

Home Remedies for Cracked Heels

■Massage your heels with coconut oil or sesame oil before going to bed. These are supposedly the best remedy for cracked heels.

■Mix glycerin and rosewater together and apply in on the heels daily. This soothes and cures cracked heels real quick.

■Squeeze one lemon in water(1/4 the bucket of water).Then soak your feet in this and wash it with leg scrapper or pumice stone and soap.You can do this 2-3 times in a week.

■Take lukewarm water and soak your feet in it for 10-15 minutes. This will loosen the dead skin; now wash off with a pumice stone.

■Mix raw salt (khada namak) in Luke warm water, and scrub your heels sin it as you soak it. Natural Pedicure for your feet, and this will exfoliate your feet too.

■Use special creams which are meant for treating cracked creams at night, and then scrub off in the morning and wash off, with a pumice stone.
■You could also heat up some Coconut oil, add some wax(paraffins) into it and after cooling apply it onto your heels.

Another solution is to melt paraffin wax and mix it well with little mustard oil. Apply on the affected area of your heels. Wash it off in the morning. Do this for 10 or 15 days and see the difference.

■After washing your feet, massage with paraffin oil, Vaseline or hydrogenated vegetable oil. This will keep the feet hydrated.

■Mix turmeric, tulsi and camphor in equal parts along with aloe vera gel and apply the paste on the heels. Just plain aloe vera gel is great for cracked heels.

■Mix sodium bicarbonate in luke warm water and soak your feet in it. Wash off with a pumice stone. Helps in exfoliation.
